PresenterNet users can initiate a meeting or web conference instantly, with no scheduling or special preparation. The only tools needed are a phone, Web access, and an Internet browser. Presenters can initiate a single phone call for a one-person audience or a conference with hundreds of invitees. Participants dial a conference call bridge number (often with Free Conference Call) then enter PresenterNet online with a conference room name and a passkey.

Audience members view all slides in full-screen view throughout the presentation. If desired, the presenter can use the system's InterScribe tool set, focusing audience attention with overlaid sketches or text similar to markings on a conference room whiteboard. The presenter can also enable audience members to overlay their own sketching or messages as they participate.

Presenters control all presentation functions while they speak. They can present slides in their pre-set sequence, or select individual slides for display by clicking thumbnail copies. If presenters spontaneously recall useful slides not included in their pre-set presentations, they can search, select and display additional slides from the online library.

Whenever phone conversations invite use of illustrative material, salespeople display it online with PresenterNet. They then use slides in the same way that they might use brochures or data sheets in face-to-face meetings. They point to items, highlight or draw boxes around them with InterScribe to emphasize the most important information.

Sales professionals also present to large groups, using PresenterNet's interactive features to invite participant responses onscreen. By viewing responses in real time and commenting on them to the full group, the presenter can keep audience members engaged and direct the presentation to the apparent needs of participants. Since all responses are captured in the PresenterNet database, the presenter can also use them for after-meeting follow-up or proposal development.
